High Speed Incident

Not sure if anyone else has had this happen, but I have just been out "shopping" (OK sunny, dry Saturday afternoon blat!) and circa 150 the front spoiler tore off, banged under the car and seemingly disappeared. So far no signs of slow punctures, or seemingly any other damage, just the two, now jagged, curved corner pieces still hanging on.
I drive a 3 year old M12 GTO3 and despite the inevitable scrapes on slopes and inclines, the spolier was in good condition with no visible cracks. Whilst this was an unusal speed to be travelling, I didn't hit anything and would have thought the spolier would have been good for even an extra +20mph (even if the car isn't!).
Two questions then:
1) Has this happened to anyone else?
2) Any suggestions on what I should use to replace it i.e. are there any improvements for this bit of the car? I was thinking rubber!

My splitter was strong enough to stand on. At 120 mph it generated so much downforce that it literally scraped the groundand took half an inch off the front edge. The new one is much stiffer and better mounted and has been tested up to 160 but it just goes to show how high the loads get at these speeds.

Happened to my M400 during a high speed run(airfield) @ 260km/h last year. The middle section tore off the clam, due to fatiguing of the fibreglass around the bolts - too many low speed scrapes
I think the reason it didnt completely detach was the smoothness of the runway - on a road it probably would have been torn off.
Pulled it off and havent looked back.

I actually think it would have gone faster given more space. (was worried about one of the corgi's running onto the drive)
It pulled strongly till about 155 then slowed but was still pulling at 160+ quite hard. Only went into 6th at about 145-150. Had not really planned on doing it as I never knew this particular bit of "special" road existed. But was mighty impressed with the stability and poise at those speeds. Fastest I have ever been, narrowly beating a blast on my old bike!
The wing mirrors did look like they were about to fly off though! As did the windscreen wiper!
RAF Marham may be in order for some more tests!

3R spec is 170 maximum speed given the gearing (see www.noblecars.com/specification.htm)
You'd need absolutly no headwind to do that though.
