I am fed up with my exhaust weld breaking - as I am sure are the rest of you.
I replaced the 'strap' part with something permanent but the weld at the silencer end has now broken again.

Is there a permanent fix? A spot-welded metal strap aroung the whole silencer perhaps?

Moley welded it with a continuous weld all the way around where the bracket meets the silencer, and then up both sides about 5mm. It's never broken since.

might need to cut a guesset, triangle shaped (with radius fitting on exhaust) to support the tab. should solve the prob. and try adding some flex pipe if youre up to it. they arent that expensive. just need to make sure they are between the manifold and the mounting tab.

OK joust... how did you get an avatar??

Nah - it's just my size that stops it, apparently if the suspension isn't loaded up (just like you get with ikkle people) then you have problems
