How many more trackdays do you think these will be good for! Most slidey today at RAF Marham charidy TD. Good day out for just £60, but I did get the front slightly shot blasted!

How many mm left? They look like they're on the wear indicators? Fine for loads of trackdays if you don't want to drive home on them

The outside is fine, the inside well illegal, and the middle varies from just about legal to well illegal!

It's not very sensible to drive a 350bhp car on wet roads like that - think of the other people on the road rather than yourself. For the sake of £300 or so, get them changed!

If only it had adjustable camber eh!

Wonder if the M15 will have adjustable geo?

With that level of wear they will be very compromised on grip and have issues in standing water. They are also illegal.

Buy some new ones, and don't get caught with them on by the police. It's 3 points a corner!

Just kidding really, they really went off today. Well past their use by date!

Think I'll stick the A048's on now for Le Mans and the summer, then put the fronts and 2 new rear SO3's back on towards winter.

There is a threaded link on the lower rear wishbone. Can that not adjust the toe in? One side of my car has a lot more wear in the inside than the other. I assumed you could adjust the geomotry?

Can't adjust camber so the tyre isn't used evenly on the track. No doubt it is at the best track road compromise but it'd be nice to have the option anyway.

So would adjusting the toe not be able to lessen the uneven wear? Standing behind my car today it definatly looked like the n/s rear sloped in at more angle than the o/s rear.

It slopes in at an angle so the front of the wheel is pointing slightly towards the driver. (diagonally)

The other wheel also does a little but not as much as the other side.

Should this have been checked and adjusted on my recent 12k service?

Having looked it seems you are suffering the exact opposite to the problem I had - I needed more camber so the inside of the tyre would get used, mine would wear out the outside of the tyre and leave the inner 3rd unused - look at the loaded tyre here:

So can the camber be slightly adjusted? I thought it was normal to be able to, seems odd not to have any control over geom on a car like this!?

No it can't, it is all fixed unless you want to get out an angle grinder and some shims

I'm wondering if it is down to tyres - that pic was taken wit5h 048Rs on, it may be that the SO3 slides before it is using the outside edge and the 048R doesn't slide until after the inside edge has been picked up? It's a complex business getting it right for the track, never mind a road track compromise!

I agree; tyre wear depends a lot on how you drive it. Power on through the corner will flatten the ride, just a few degrees of opposite lock is all thats needed. This looks like its been "chucked" into the corner, the weights all on the outer wheels etc. Remember slow in fast out.

Trevor Jasper @ Rousch or Graham Horgan @ Plans Motorsports can set you up with adjustable camber. Highly recomended for keen trackers.

The solution I talked about with Trevor involved modifying the upright.

I only know what Plans do, and they are adjustable wishbones.
However probably more important is that they then set the car up properly.

Paul.
