Anyone want a set of these?

Dear All,
Here's another glimpse at the light covers that Owen had on his car. These pics are of the final final pre-production set and they ought to be available for anyone who wants a set in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know formaly when they are. In the meantime have a look. Excuse the state of my clams! They are an easy DIY fit with double sided tape and sealant to finish.

1) Prices being agreed with suppliers - depends slightly on how many are interested.

2) Plastic - lexan, polycarbonate, strong as the strongest stuff

3) Your car will assume the aeros of a dart like object and be as fast as a very fast thing.

Owen, have you got a close up of the light, still not sure about the use of the silicon, like to see if it is visable.

The original M12 light units aren't particularly well "sealed in" like the Lotus ones (if you look with the clam open you can see daylight through the side), although condensation seems to be just one of those things when you have enclosed lights (my M400 steams up all the time, I've given up caring!)

Yep, even though these covers will seal the front end of the cavity the back end of the recess where the light is fitted into the clam has loads of holes and gaps so water WILL GET IN. You will occasionaly get condensation, its a fact of life. Unless they are hermeticaly sealed and dehumidified it will happen. As J says everyones do it, the factory ones, Lotus ones etc.

I had one light that was bad for this and didn't do anything with it for a few months. Problem is the salts in the water attack the perspex and they go milky after a while. I had to have a new headlight in the end.
