Headlights abroad

I'll be going to France in the M400 fairly soon, and was wondering what others have done regarding the headlights.

On previous cars there are usually some marks on the headlights where to put the gaffer tape so you don't dazzle other drivers. I can't seem to see any such markings. Any advice gratefully received..

The first time a took mine abroard (Germany -> Denmark -> Germany -> Holland) I bought all the stuff, light stickers, GB stickers etc etc. All the people I went with (2 x 360's, Diablo, TVR) said 'that's just for tourists, don't bother'. I didn't and have been many times since with no issues.

To be honest, the Noble lights are pointed so far down, and you are so low down, that dazzle isn't going to be a problem.

You soon know if it is, as oncoming drivers, particularly on "b" type roads will start flashing you as it will appear you have your main beams on. That's never happened to me in Fr in the Noble.

Oooooh yes. My second day of ownership involved a ferry crossing back home. I was lucky as it was high tide and the ramp was failrly level, but it was still scraping the floor quite loudly! The spilitter came off very soon after.

I'm now looking at the boomerangs as the front looks bare without it.

Take it at an angle! (>45 degree).

Speedferries and P&O (SF far better) generally have sensible people on the ramps that will direct you on. If you get at a serious oblique angle then you'll be fine (I have been the many times I took my 2.5 with splitter on and off).

As you know my car has been in Spain for about 16 months now and I've never been flashed/pulled.

Only works when there's room. The ferry I was on was a tight fit to drive up the ramp straight


But a good idea when you can do it
