I took my FP BOV off today just to check on the filter and connections. I found a little bit of oil in the pipe work. I suspect this is why the oil catch tank should be fitted.
Something I've noticed with my BOV is that it seems to release very early, i.e. as I accelerate. The only time it doesn't is when I have my right foot planted to the floor. Is this normal behaviour or does it sound like its faulty or incorrectly installed (more likely) ?

dosent sound right to me! Have you checked the vac pipe is secure and not leaking also have you checked the spring? Might be worth trying a stiffer spring in there, maybe call Matt, or I now Graham(noblemods) is selling the same BOV's and I know he has some service kits(eg springs) or give forge a call, I will be working about 1 mile from forge as of monday, so i can pop in for you if you need one popped in the post.

Cheers Alex, the vac pipe looks ok but I will check it again for leaks. I'm not sure if the spring would cause this as it does release perfectly ok under hard acceleration changing up between gears.
By the way whats the best screws to fit the drip tray with?

Lucozade, this might sound stupid (and it probably is) but are you sure it's the BOV you can hear? I have found the K&Ns make a similar sound to the BOV blowing off excess air when they're sucking in a fair bit of air (i.e more than tickling the throttle).
Since I moved the filters away from the bulkhead area the sound is less noticeable but still can be heard. Easy to check - replace the BOV hard pipe with a piece without the tee in it or remove the BOV and blank off the hole and try driving it to see if the sound is the same under acceleration.

Sounds feasible plipton. I guess all I need to do to disable the BOV is remove the T piece and put back a one line. Was going to try this anyway but need to get some line.

It might be quicker and easier to blank off the T piece and try that?? Not taken mine off yet (one of the few bits I haven't fiddled with yet 
) so not sure if a simple blanking plate is a possibility.
What's the internal bore of the hose? you might be able to find something suitable to join it up again as a temporary measure. Plumbers' merchants have loads of different pipe sizes.
