Viewing a GTO 3 on Saturday

Dear All,
I'm sure this topic has cropped up a number of times - sorry if it's boring but any advice you can give will be much appreciated!
I'm currently in the privileged position of owning both a Griff 500 and an VX220 Turbo - both very different cars and both fantasic in their own right. The sad thing is that having a daily driver too means that I hardly get chance to use them and the cost of having them both sat there is silly (so I try not to think about it!)
So this year is fleet consolidation year, in order to focus my time and funds it's out with the Tiv and the VX and in with..... well, potentially a Noble. I've always admired them from afar and this weekend I'm going to tyre kick one at the Hairpin Car Co in Wilts - as advertised in PH Classifieds.
I'm pretty savvy about cars in general and am used to low volume, British, plastic cars and the joys and foibles known as character! However is there anything specific to check with a Noble?
Body wise, are they prone to any problems, crazing / cracking? I understand the chassis is tubular steel, what's the corrosion protection like, is it as crap as the TVR?
Mechanically I understand that being Ford they are pretty strong - any particular points to note?
Are most of the general components Ford derived i.e. hubs, brakes, transmission etc?
Is there anyone here that's moved from a TVR / VX to a Noble? Any regrets? Downsides?
The only downside I can see is that it's got a roof!!! Apart from that I can't wait to have a good old nosey on Saturday.

Blimey, so it's not just a change of car then - it's more akin to moving from J'Lo's arse (griff) to an automotive lezza!.... where do I sign up!

Well, I've seen a few cars now and I love 'em!
Fantastic drive and they seem to be well screwed together - love the looks too and the noise and surprisingly having a roof doesn't seem to detract too much from the whole experience - so the verdict is 'I want one!'.
Feels much more like a big boys toy vs my Griff and VXT. So you can all rejoice by saying 'I told you so!'
Only downside so far is that I haven't been too impressed with the condition of the cars i've seen - you would think that dealers would make a bit of an effort when flogging a 40 grand motor!
Anyway, off to view a GTO 3R with 3k miles on the clock this evening.......the hunt continues!

I'm not sure where you live but it would def be worth you checking out Mole Valley.They always seem to sell their cars very quickly which tells its own story!
I travelled down there from Cardiff to look at a car I ended up buying.Hand on heart,it was very well prepped when I collected it and I've never had a single problem!

The hunt is over!!!!!
Still shaking! - I've taken the plunge on a GTO3R in Azure blue - she is an absolute beauty!!! Bought her privately after doing the rounds of Mole Valley etc who it has to be said were very knowledgeable and helpful.
All being well I'm picking the car up on Sunday - which is just as well 'cos I can't sleep at the moment!!!
Shit! I don't own a TVR any more......
