What to do with SO3 fronts?

Have now got the Advan A048's on (thanks Joust and am wondering what to do with the old SO3 fronts.

They are only half used and now that I can't find any SO3 rears, are they useless?

Not sure if I should go back and get them or just chuck them out.

Seems a shame to throw out perfectally good tyres!

Any ideas? Can you run SO3 fronts with )%)A rears/ Or is that silly?

Bolt them together, get a bit of stained glass = Coffee Table...class!

eBay them. I've also got some very slightly worn front SO3s too. If we both put them on eBay it would make a nice set of 4 tyres for someone with 225/40/R18 wheels all round, probably a Max Power Corsa or something similar.

Good, plan. Where are you? I was thinking of doing that, but would not fancy posting them so would have to do a buyer collects.

Sure. Do you want to put all four in one auction, and split the profit 50/50? But then we have to work out how to get all four tyres in one place.

Or just put both pairs on individually onto eBay at the same time?

Greg - I might have some part worn so3 rears in the garage - you could use the whole set on an airfield day? I'll have a check but it won't be until next week.

Happy to split the costs after all the expenses mate, but I do think we'll be far more likely to sell them all together.



Nathan, thanks for the offer, but I want to get shot really and after destroying the A048's I think I will have a go at something new all round.


I got charged £75 to swop the so3's for the 048's! So I think I want new ones next time.

£75! I pay £40 a go, they did my rear brake pads at the same time for that too last time I went!

Will sort a ride out at some point, not done any track stuff this year so far though. It might be quicker for you to find a mate with a 3 series, video the journey and speed it up a bit in premiere

They quoted me £60 one the phone about a month ago and then added vat!

Think I'll look else where next time. Even the chap doing it said that it should only be about £40. Never even met the MD but he must be a to$$er.

Okay let me find out how much it's going to cost to courier to, or collect from East Anglia first. Can you email me your address?
