Certainly is done in the U.S. where the importer offers an optional ECU map for the M12 that increases boost and takes BHP to 400. Also see various posts on

Raising the boost pressure is one thing but without increasing the fuel delivery rate will undoubtedly cause damage,immediate or otherwise,detenation being one key factor straight of the bat.Fuel injection systems are usually O.K. for an additional 25% air flow increase with extra performance on hand within the injector but I would ask somone that has first hand experience before attempting any D.I.Y.

Don't know the answer to that, if so, go for it. May be different wireing for the US machines?

When you buy this in the US, it comes with the M400 fuel pump as well, not just the MAP.
Also - my car was overboosting to 1.4-1.5 BAR. Fast as hell (until it cut the power on itself), but ultimately I lost the engine. Damage: 2 cracked pistons. SURPRISINGLY, the top end was near perfect - and this was thought to be the weak point. Did a flow and pressure test, came out fine. Damage was to the pistons and cyl walls. Theyre mayyyy be room to run another .1 to .2 BAR, but you would definately want an air-fuel ratio gauge (such as I have) to keep an eye on things, and upgrade fuel delivery.
on a 3R, your turbos will make more boost, but it will die out and wont be sustained over 5500 RPM or so. An M400 will make more top end.
If you change the boost controller, you will lose the abilitity of the ECU to cut boost in less than desireable conditions. However, it still can cut timing. Not sure how critical the boost reduction would be.
Heres a pic of the gauge I installed on the A-pillar which runs off of that little box near the shifter (which also datalogs many inputs such as EGT, boost, etc.)

I was just curious as to how much 'play' you have with the power levels before you have to go and upgrade/replace other components.
The easiest way generally on turbo cars is to increase the boost, but it sounds like the Noble already has this set at is max level. (well max level before other components/systems intervene).

Personally I'd go for the exhaust upgrade, and intercooler upgrade before tinkering with boost.
(Fuel pump and wiring upgrade of course too)
That alone will release up to 20->30 bhp and make the power delivery less peaky.
I have a 2.5L, running .6 bar boost, kicking out 362bhp. And it's plenty quick mister !

Possible input from factory please. How many five speed gearboxes and non-LSD diffs. are out there and how many have failed? Are potential customers avoiding these cars?
