40 psi is the minimum upper limit you want to get. Think mines a 50 or 60. Definitely need to be able to read over 40 on heavier cars.
40 psi max range is enough for the Noble and it's easier to read the gauge than if it's graduated up to 60 ... but for other cars yes you might well need more range.
