Leak?

Over the last couple of days noticed a leak on the garage floor as I backed out on the way to work.
Underneath the car this morning and it is coming from a louvered area in the centre of the cars floor.
With the aircon on it appears to leak very fast.It doesnt appear to be coolant but water.
Is this a leak from the air con system, or some sort of symptom of the high humidity that we have at the moment.? Known problem?

Any help from the guru's would be appreciated.

When aircon is used water does drain out after the engine is stopped (there's a specific drain hose for this coming from the unit) - so this is perfectly normal but it would be a good idea to check your hose connections anyway.

The condensor part of the A/C system draws heat out of the air and that cold air can no longer support the water vapour that it had when hotter. So the water vapour condenses and runs out of the drain tube exactly as it should.

It is normal and nothing to worry about, if you have been using the A/C a lot.

You could also have ice in your condensor as well if your system isn't working very well. If it's nice and chilly don't worry about it.

About a mugfull is no issue and perfectly normal, the X5 dumps about 4 mug fulls and you can hear it running out!

As usual thanks guys for the responses.
It does appear to do it while the engine is running and the air con is on.

It is at times like this I wish I wasn't such a numpty when it comes to all things mechanical.
