Yet another 'I've Got It!' tale!!

.....WOW, WOW and treble WOW!! I absolutely love my new motor!
Sunday saw me drive up to Hinckley, the last drive in my beloved Griff 500, to pick up my GTO 3R - I was a bit emotional, would I miss the noise, the wind in the hair, the gorgeous looks, the drivetrain shunt around town, the smell of glass fibre and glue (still curing in a 12 year old car!), the intoxicating petrol fumes, the Airfix build quality and the constant need to drive and look at the temp guage all the time? Would I bollox!!!!!!
Bring on the M12 - what a car, I've owned her for four days now and it still takes my breath away just walking around it.
The drive is fantastic and amply covered in other threads (but bugger me it's quick and the handling and ride are superb - just in case you'd forgotten!) what has also really impressed me is the build quality and togetherness of the car a) coming from a TVR and b) given the limited resources that Noble have. I'm amazed as to why anyone would contemplate any other sports car......er, ok, maybe some people need a boot and the ability to get over speed bumps! but what the hell... (that reminds me, I had a hell of a panic when I got it home as it wouldn't go in my garage due to the front splitter, fortunately it goes in backwards!)
I am one happy new owner that's for sure - after a long search I've found a car in really beautiful condition, she's a stunner (someone took a photo of her whilst i was filling up at the sodding petrol station!).
So, I'm really looking forward to learning more and more about the car and sharing my joys and woes(not too many I hope) over the coming months/years.
Big smiles all round and happy to have achieved Nobility!

Congratulations on your Noble ownership, you will get used to people taking photo's. You get lots of folk coming up with there camera phones to get a snap. Happy motoring.

i'm getting used to the sharpness of the handling and how well it turns in
i love the way it picks up from low rpm and storms ahead

all i need now is another one for track days
and another one to tune the nuts off to see how fast one can possibly go

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!
I hope to catch up with some of you on track days etc throughout the year - although the 'newness' needs to wear off a bit before I take it on the track! Don't worry, I wont be completely anal about the car for ever! Just right now, if I could get it in my living room I would!!
Come on 4pm, I need to get home and get my driving fix! Bloody work just gets in the way!

I took mine off using the shelves at the end of my garage

Just adds weight then. I did Bruntingthorpe runs with and without and there was no difference at all. The standard splitter is too thick to work (EU rules state 19MM minimum radius on front parts of cars I believe).
