OK, back to the main reason for the forum then so no swearing, bitchin' or talking behind my back now

It seems I may need a new exhaust (10,000 miles!). Do I understand that there are three stainless steel aftermarket exhaust systems avaiable? I'd like to gather info. as follows please:

1. Source?
2. Ownership experience (eg: length of ownership, problems encountered, aftersales service, etc.)
3. Noise level/s? (dB's against standard M12 base)
4. Plug-and play (eg: does the engine map, or anything else, need altering)?
5. Cost (including VAT), warranty and expected life?

Let's be 'avving you then peeps...

1. Source? = Plans motorsport
2. Ownership experience = 2 years. no problems at all.
3. Noise level/s? = more of a bellow at tickover. flat out not really different. Afterburner flames on the over-run.
4. Plug-and play = no re-map needed as far as I know.
5. Cost (excluding VAT) = circa £1,500 but you'd need to double check with Plans as it was 2 years ago and it was the first development one.

1. Source? Developed by me in assoc with Hayward & Scott.
2. Ownership experience (eg: length of ownership, problems encountered, aftersales service, etc.) As fitted to mine and Alex' cars since July last year with no problems, knocking etc...whatsoever
3. Noise level/s? (dB's against standard M12 base) Best ask Alex - louder than standard
4. Plug-and play (eg: does the engine map, or anything else, need altering)? Suggest fuel pump & wiring upgrade and check on rolling road
5. Cost (including VAT), warranty and expected life? See website for options / Lifetime Warranty. You could spend more money on another system that was based directly on this one and spend twice as much if you really wanted too though! I build things for my own benefit then stick them on the noblemods website in case anyone else is interested. It only makes me beer money but if you want hugely inflated prices for no better product I can always put the cost up !!!!! ....err thats wasn't meant to be a rant

Roush. Dogs bolloxs. £3k

Oh, alright, as everyone is doing there's properly!

1. Source?
Roush

2. Ownership experience (eg: length of ownership, problems encountered, aftersales service, etc.)
2 months, none, second to none

3. Noise level/s? (dB's against standard M12 base)
97ish with the Cat's in, 99+ with them out

4. Plug-and play (eg: does the engine map, or anything else, need altering)?
Plug and play, well, give the keys to Trevor, and come back a day later for the before and after dyno plots.

5. Cost (including VAT), warranty and expected life?
£3k ish (slighly less), including two dyno plots. I'm pretty sure the exhaust itself is 10 years or similar, and as it's stainless, it should last a lifetime (Quattro Stainless one is now 12 years old and still going strong...)

1. Source = Veganue motorsport

2. Ownership experience = 5 days, and it's looking good so far.
3. Noise level/s? = The system comes with a switchable straight through pipe and a cat pipe. With the cat pipe it sounds more defined but no louder than the standard. Without cats it's more boomy
4. Plug-and play = Mine is a 2.5, so the turbos were upgraded to T28's to make the fitting more straight forward. Fuel pump has been upgraded so there were no fuel starvation problems.
5. Cost (excluding VAT) = 1K second hand (cash on the way adrian) + fitting. New system is around 2K.

When the car went in, it was producing 362bhp, after the exhaust and new turbos it was producing 381bhp. As checked by crazyhorsesracing.com.

The car is now going back up to JNM to be mapped to the max, and I'm expecting to be close to 390bhp.

Not bad for a 7 year old car huh ?

As above, ownership a bit longer.

You will not beleive the performance increase, and it is not about hp, but how it is delivered!

Ask Obes, he has driven it.

And for that price you get ceramic coating in the areas that need it.

Sorry to be lazy but why re-invent the wheel

Thanks Justin
