Hi guys,

I want to buy some proper driving shoes and a proper open face helmet, as my "normal" trainers and vespa cheapo helmet are not really the best for trackdays.

Does anyone know of any shops in East Angular or Norf Lundin that I could buy them from instead of having to pick them over t'interweb.

Thankoo.

Yes, and they have a shop. Also, maybe too far but Demon Tweeks have a large retail centre in Wrexham North Wales - would be a good blast for your Bluebell! :-)

Greg, GPR have a place at Silverstone. That's doable for you and you could harrass Obes on the way home.

Fancy a trip out there myself actually. Need some gloves so I don't wreck my new steering wheel!

AFAIK no.

I've used GPR at Silverstone before but I think I rather try GPR in Chiswick (if you get my drift).
There's always Stand 21 near Brands but I've no experience of them ... www.stand21.fr ... not that I've been looking recently

Richard, have you been to the new store at Sillystone? It's a bit different to the old paddock shop I think.

Thats sounds perfect! Cool, I was not looking forward to trying to buy a helmet on-line.

Will have to treck over there next weekend and then harass Obes as you say. Could pop into "Backstreet Motors" and fit my new fuel pump. And check that Obes and Matt are doing everything corectally with Owens car. They need my watchfull eye you see.

Thanks Neil and others.

Sure thing. Sounds like a date then. Could do lunch at the pub in Silverstone village. I wonder if they will let us in if there is an event on??

Should do. It's kind of on the edge of the circuit now rather than right in the middle of the paddock. Lunch sounds good!

I was last there around 18 months ago, their building looked fairly new.

Greg - Why open face? Full face every day for me, if the worst happens I'd rather not get smashed in the face by the steering wheel or anything coming through the window! Also, if you every do any sprints or if Paul begs you to race his car for him then I'm not sure an open face helmet is allowed?
