More advice please...

I am looking to buy a M12 2.5 that has done 400 miles in 24 mths [apparently...] Any pointers on what problems [if any] might develop from very low usage?

Cheers
H

probably nothing to worry about

but you need to check the handbrake is working ok and give it an oil change in the near future

It's been serviced recently - so I guess everything should be okay.

Thanks

Or it could of just had a speedo that wasnt working/ unpluged!!
400 miles in 2 years seems very suspect to me....
But that is just IMO.

I hope they have a bloody good reason for not driving it. It should be a criminal offence to own a car like that for 2 years and drive it 400 miles.
Probably lives 400 miles from the factory aswell.

I knew a chap who bought an M12, then had to have a back operation soon afer. It took him over two years before he could get in the car and drive it without extreme pain.

If the car has been stored in a well aired garage, with little moisture, and has list of bills detailing when seriving has taken place then there really isn't very much to worry about.

A lot of cars are packed away over the winter months in the UK, and that can be for over 4 months of the year.

But I'd suggest that you get an expert to look over the car before you buy, it's amazing what is can be missed by the untrained eye, and of course get a road test.
