Just a small note to say thank you very much for your time the other day - you were right. The problem was the 2 way connector coming out of the 8way (The only bit of wiring I did not look at the previous night in the 3-4 hours of trying to find the problem!)- it was a bit corroded and blackened - I'm going get Ray to cut it out and start again - I think they probably need a good waterproofing - I can only assume that when I started my journey it was okay and then as the heat built up it pushed the resistance high enough to flick the fuel pump relay off.... Away after lying on the roof and removing all the turbo pipe work I managed to pull the plugs apart and give the contacts a good clean - much to the amusement of passers by and my passenger...

No problems, and glad to hear that it fixed the problem and you got going again. I assume you have the fuel pump wiring mod? I know we sent out a kit to Ray for your car. I'm surprised that the connector got that hot - maybe it was like that from it's life before. Anyway, get in touch if you need more help with the pump loom etc.
