- IMPORTANT NOTICE -

Due to lack of numbers, this event has been cancelled
there is still a track day running at Oulton at that day and anyone already booked is still most welcome.

The Noble / Noble Owners club day will be re-scheduled for next year.

Can you get signing up quickly please guys and girls, take up has been a bit slow and the organisers will have to open the day for general attendance if we don't get a few more on the board soon. Don't forget, if you want to go up the night before, I have the details of a local hotel.

If you go to the site you can book as a spectator. £15 including lunch if memory serves me right. I'm hoping to do just that unless of course I am collecting my car from MV that weekend!!

Owen - according to MV Nov 11th is not a Noble-only day but is already open to the gerenal riff-raff (ie TVR and Porsche)paperbag

They have had to open it to others because not enough Noble owners had booked on yet. Many of the usual suspects are away or going but not tracking their cars, which is a real shame. :-(

Yep, Jools and I have been trying to drum up some support, but msv can't hold out for it any longer and risk a huge loss. Because we only got 6 bookings, they've opened it up to the public to try and get some money back.

I'll talk to them once more, but I think we should prepare for a cancellation.

A massive dissapointement i'm afraid looks like trying to be geographically fair just doesn't work! Back to Bedford or Brands next time me thinks...

Prahaps at a warmer and sunnier time of year too.

We could do a bedford day and have a hog roast in the eve, like they do on the autocar days. You turn up at about 12pm and track all afternoon then have a big bbq and get the wife to drive you home.

TBH... I think the time of year has played a big part in it. Having a track day in the middle of winter is bound to put a lot of people off....I know it has me.
Maybe next year do one in the summer and I am sure a lot more people will track thier cars. Cant be a cost issue as this day is no cheaper than a lot of the LoT and ET etc, summer days. This is all IMHO of course. tumbleweed

A pity of course and good work to Nobleman Owen and others for creating and supporting the initiative! Maybe a round-robin canvass for concensus on venue and date would get a larger more positive group next time (or did you do that and I've forgotten?!). driving

So who is actually going? I can't make the track day but was thinking about getting across on Saturday evening for a few beers.

I won't be going now.

Its a bloody long way from the south.

Shame.

Do we get our money back or a credit note? Either way is fine with me.

I'm still going. I haven't driven Oulton before so it's as good a time as any to do it. Linda and I are booked into the hotel for the Friday as well so are up for drinks/meal if anyone else is still going.

Its also a good excuse to take the Noble on the M6 toll road.

Dear Owen,
This is a shame but can I say a vote of thanks for being up for trying to get it going. I think geography, time of year and "Oh my god its Oulton" played a part. Its often a hapless task doing this sort of thing so a big thanks from me for all your efforts. I look forward to next years meet.

Hear hear. Always a thankless task trying to organise these things and I'm afraid I would have been one of the spectators this year. Hopefully by next year I will actually be able to join you all, with a Noble.beer
