Hi Guys n Gals...
Sorry if these have already been answered, trawled through the pages back until sept 2005 and couldn't find anything...
Does anyone make a turbo timer for an M12 GTO 3R?
Had one fitted in my scoob made by HKS, I think the units are all generic but the wiring harness is car specific... Anyone got one wired in or is there a guide on PH?
Whats the best trickle charger - getting ready to bed the car down for a few long weekends in the garage while the weather is rubbish just wanted to keep the battery in a top notch condition! How easy are they to fit? as looking at he battery looks like there could be a few cuts n bruises getting to it!
Thanks
Monkee

Sorry if I'm talking rubbish, isn't the purpose of a turbo timer to gradually allow to spin down the turbos after you've turned off the ignition, to avoid damage to them? Basically it isn't really necessary if you drive sedately for the last few minutes before turning the ignition off....i.e. warm up/cool down the car properly. I think turbo timers are a bit of a gimmick.
Also be wary of how it interacts with your alarm. You might not be able to lock and alarm the car until the timer has stopped running which makes it kinda useless. Some alarms can be set to be turbo-timer-aware.
