We live in the vicinity of the Eurostar....It runs adjacent to the M20 & A2, I often like to chase the trains in my Eurobox. paperbag

Whilst travelling 'rather swiftly' it occured to the Webmistress & I that maybe.....just maybe we could give the Eurostar a run for it's money cloud9

Anybody other train spotters out there that have taken it to the train?

I've heard of a bloke who raced the eurostar where they drive on the wrong side of the road. Got to 160mph and the train was still pulling away apparently. I have no idea how fast these trains go though so it could be bulls**t.

Supercar Run June 2004. Overtook, safely, 4 Ferrari's (those cars that have engine probs) and a Swiss Train in one burst. Train had the last laugh though. Having reached a 'suitable' speed to pass the lot, the gates of the level crossing ahead began to close.....

The ICE tracks run more or less parallel to the Autobahn Cologne-Frankfurt in one or two places. It's doing about 300 km/h, though, and I'm in the Mini One most of the time...

Used to race ordinary trains dirt tracking on an RM250. We'd be on a dirt track parallel with the railway. Trick was to do a standing start when the front of the train drew level then match it's speed before the final carriage was level. The trains only had four carriages and were moving fairly so it was a real hoot trying to get up to speed without losing the back end or fliping onto your ar5e!

Looks like we need to arrange a train race run, rather than a tunnel run!
