I here it is normal to have oil residue in the pipe that runs from throttle body to IC. I also have a BOV in the line. However there does seem to be a lot in there. I was told to raise the seperator bottle up as high as possible, I have not done this yet. Some of the residue tends to blow out the bov creating a bit of a mess.
Question, Have I got a problem, can it be reduced.

No its normal with sprited driving. Oil makes its way up the timing chains and overwhelms the crankcase breathers ending up being re-circulated through the emissions control piping into the inlet tracks.
options are
1) get a catch tank.
2) get the factory "restrictor" fitted in the OEM oil swirl pot pipe
3) if these don't work get your compression tested - overpressurisation can be a sign of worn rings and bores.

Suspect your engine is breathing heavier due to piston ring / bore wear, raising the seperator won't make much differance if this is the case and you need to be careful that the oil return pipe to the sump doesn't rub the drive shaft.
Suggest you have a compression check done this will prove what's going on, You can eliminate the oil problem in the intake pipes by fitting the Noblemods seperator but you may still find it blows oil out the top breather in which case you might aswell take the breather pipe from your existing seperator into a oil catch tank and blank off the air intake connection.
I'd carry out a compression test first.

Compression is spot on, test done & guage in car indicates fine also. I do have a tendency to be over cautious with the engine oil level and occosionally may be SLIGHTLY over filled. The car has no faults, I just wondered if it was normal.
If you track the car or as Paul says, drive in a spirited fashion, the oil you're seeing in the bottom of the IC is perfectly normal especially if you tend to overfill. If you just pootle about and don't track the car you wouldn't expect to see much oil in the IC, and one would have to suspect more ominous engine problems.
I found that that the Noble supplied 'restictor' in the OEM swirl-pot thingy cured the problem completely.
