Electrical Connector On Rear Clam
Discussion
Anybody know the source of the electrical connector on the rear clam? I am in the US and need a spare. The US importer doesn't know where these are from.

I was told by a UK owner on the US forum that the factory had told hin the part was German made and would cost a fortune to order, Well I supose that seeing the name Deutsch on the connector one would assume it is manufactured by a German company. But guess what...? it's NOT from the land of schnitzel and the Autobahn. The full name is Deutsch USA! They are in Hemet California. They are, of all places, in the desert about 75 miles east of Los Angeles. Palm trees and Hot Rods. That puts me about halfway between them and the UK. But what the heck, here is the web address of the product info page of the DT series of connectors our cars use.www.deutschipd.com/dt_series_brochure.pdf
I'll be contacting them later today as well as their distributor in the US, LADD Industries, www.laddinc.com/home.aspx and the local affiliate, Carlton-Bates Company, which has an office on my way to work.
I will be sending this info to Tim in the Parts Dept. at 1g as well.Ladd is in the same state as 1G. Ohio. Maybe Tim will stock a few connectors.
Hope springs eternal.
