Seriously considering swapping over to a pure evil decor.

This was actually my plan from the beginning but what do you guys think?

Here's the car as is (dirty!):

and heres my artistic impression of what all black might look like:

p.s. Do any of you fine fellows recommend a place to getting existing 3R wheels painted/treated black?

Looks good black, but good luck getting the plastic nuts replaced if you refurb. Lots of prior on this in the forum

The colour would be Anthracite Black which I think is a little glossy, but not overly. I'd leave the nuts silver ideally.

Yes, suggest you first put a call out to M400 owners who may want a swap their Black wheels for your Silver one's (if I owned an M400 I'd have Silver wheels fitted!).

I would stick with silver too Dan. It looks much better imo.

I'd go black and black, including the rear spoiler stands. Stealth Machine

Actually, my original plan called for blackend spoiler supports AND blackend mirror supports...

However on buying it I fell in love with it, as is. and also my pocket was subjected to a 3.0 litre nuclear blast which rendered final tweaks impossible immediately. Now I just dont know anymore.

Anyone know how much treating wheels has been costing people?

Just had the rear wheels refurbed on my 2.5 in satin black. If anyone wants a pic, i'll put up a "half and half" pic. Fronts going in later this week.

You'll need to sell some more albums then!!

Have you done some more photoshopping to check it out with black wheels? I think it looks good on lighter coloured cars but black and black would look dull IMO.

I prefer it with silver wheels too.

I wanted a black car, but not black wheels, so thats why I went for a 3R rather than a M400.

There was a guy at the Britcar 24 at Silverstone with a "stealth" 3R as far as I remember....

If you'd wanted a black M400 with silver wheels, all you had to do was ask! My titatium M400 came on request with silver wheels, colour coded mirrors and wing bits (exactly as per 3R which looks much better IMO). No cost option.
If you talking 'pre-owned' then above obviously dosn't apply!

I've got Black with Anthracite rims, Looks AWESOME. But if I were in your position I'd have the centres painted in anthracite leaving the outer lip in the silver. would look stunning.
