Can anyone recommend a new exhaust for my GTO-3 as the baffle is making a resinating sound so am guessing it needs to be changed. Also if you know what sort of cost they are, I dont know wether to just replace with factory back box that costs about £240 + the labour charge.
A deciding factor may be the delivry time for a factory supplied standard box - have you checked?
Theres a guy i've used a lot over the years in Macclesfield who runs a small firm called Tube Torque... He builds top quality stainless steel sports exhausts from scratch and can build them to your own spec - straight through, full system, back-box only, round, oval- whatever. I don't know if he's done a Noble yet but it wouldn't surprise me if he had. Every car i've ever had done sounds excellant and i've been in and out within a day. He does a lot of development work for the aftermarket brands and is well known amoungst certain car clubs... Cosworths, classics, etc.
Give Mark a call on 01625 511 153, you won't be disappointed.
He's very well priced too! (but you'll have to tell him your requirements)
Hope this helps,
Craig

Thanks Craig I will give him a call, and will also check with the factory to see how long on delivery if I go the standard back box route.
No problem... let me know how you get on - my GTO-3's exhaust sounds fine but i'd be keen to here a Tube Torque version.
Marks a great bloke to deal with too.

Or you can go the proven Roush route and have the increased robustness of a production-designed aftermarket system with lifetime mechanical warranty - oh and the noise and performance benefits are a bonus, too!!
And for all those out there with 2.5's, we are now working on a possible solution to the exhaust problem for you boys as well. In the next few weeks/month or so, I hope to be able to post about how that's going.....

Are the 2.5 fittings and shape very different to the 3's?
It's down the angle from the turbo's on the 2.5. I think it's slightly shallower.
I decided to change the turbo's (T28's) on my 2.5, and fit a Vegantune system. It's changed the way the power is delivered, and smoothed out the torque curve.
Oh, and I managed to find that there were another 20 odd horses under the clam :-)
362bhp -> 382 bhp at .5 bar.

How much is the Roush exhaust for a GTO-3?
Is this the one that includes a new fuel pump and re-map?
Cheers

The system retails at £1950 plus VaT and the fitting is £450 + VaT from Noble London. For that you get the ceramic coated parts, fuel pump and wiring loom and cat-replacement pipes etc. If you don't want Cat-replacement pipes it's £100 less. RR sessions are extra as prices vary depending on where you get it done.
Worth every penny as i gained an instant 40bhp and 40lb tourque....
- Plus it looks and sounds great! The original thread with lots of pics and some links to power curves was here:

Pics of individual parts (pre-powder coating) on page 5.
As to whether it's worth it for everyday driving, it depends on how often you have to have the bracket welded
and how much you'd enjoy the extra power
