Anyone know where you can hire a Noble for a day or two?

I really fancy one, but one like to run it around for a couple of days to see if it it suits.

Any ideas?

can't see any car hire company doing it, unless it was a classic sports car as the insurance premium would be sky high. plus i dread to think how much you'd pay for even one day plus deposit etc.

Don't know of anyone hiring them, but to get an idea what they're like you could:

a. Book a test drive
b. You can have a go on track in one (which is what we did before getting one). We used XFactor uk : www.trackdaysreborn.co.uk/
Car was in excellent condition, instructor was very helpful, and they were pretty flexible about how many sessions in each car. For example on the Gold option (3 sessions in GTO3, 3 in Focus race car) I ended up doing 5 in the Noble and just the 1 in the Focus. Track was a good length airfield track so nothing to hit apart from cones if you overcook it. It was part of an open trackday, but everyone was very sensible.

I seem to remember a company that did hire one. It was a gto3 and iirc, it was about £1200 for the day!! eek That may have been for driving it on a track with instruction though.

Rockingham race track folks have one I think. You could pay them to drive it on track.

Why don't you go and test drive one at a dealer?

A 30 minute run is all you'll need to find out if its the car for you or not. It took me about 2 minutes after testing 10 other cars to know I was getting one! Never looked back.

The issue is not so much if I'll like driving the car as that pretty much a given. I have a high power Evo at the moment and love the turbo pull, so have no doubt I'd love the Noble.

What I need to check out is more if it's practical enough for me. It's not like I need a lot of storage space, but I run in to a few speed bumps everyday and want to make sure it clears them all ok and just really get some time to settle in the car on roads I know without a dealer sitting next to me watching everything I do.

Don't worry about speed bumps, just remove the front splitter and it will clear them all. I've never had a problem and some around where I live are quite nasty.

If you have another car for the mundane shopping trips etc and you can live without the storage space and the poor rear visibility then you'll love the car. FWIW you can fit enough luggage behind the seats for a long weekend away.

On a day to day basis a Noble is very easy to drive. Light controls linear throttle response and as it's quite small, so easy to in slow moving traffic. Turning circle is crap though.

Agreed on speed bumps - I've found the Noble better on speed bumps than the Skyline (which isn't very low).

Turning circle is much better on M400 than other models - also has the advantage of front splitter already removed.

Speed bumps are not a problem (as long as you go reasonably slow) even with the splitter as maximum height for speed bump is 100mm, and car rides about 120-130mm.

Steep ramps/driveways/multi-storeys are more of an issue.
