Strange waste gate / boosting noise... anyone help?

Hey guys, I know most of you will be getting tucked in early right now, ready for the big meet!

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas about this weird noise that I started hearing today.

This is a tough one to describe, and I've had a couple of !

Ok so when accelerating hard and the boost starts to kick in... I'm hearing what appears to be lots of quick gas expulsions from what I can only assume is the waste gate? Usually the sucking sound is consistant, and now its going... ok here goes...

The accel. has definitely suffered, but not THAT substantially.

That is really the best explination I can do! I want to take it along to noble london, but I'm due a 2.5 hour journey in it tommorrow... just wondering if:

A: Anyone might know what it is... so I can go in with a guess at what the problem is.
B: If anyone does have a suspicion... is it bad to continue to drive with that happening?

does it do it on wide open throttle, or is it timed with a (slight) lift ?

What is the boost guage doing when this is happening?

Do you have a BOV fitted? If you do, I would guess its the green spring thats given up and it letting pressure out early. Undo it and give the spring a good stratch. Then order a yellow one.
