Jeremy Clarkson was once quoted to say

owning a TVR is like owning a bear - very cool to own one, but one day it WILL bite you

Surely they can't be as touch as Aston Martin owners

I'm off in it to the TVRCC's Christmas dinner on Saturday

Ive had a couple of TVR's including a Chameleon Orange Saggy, fantastic cars Design wise and interior wise, much harder ride than the Noble and they just don't handle very well, lovely cars though!

Still not a patch on the Noble though!

I drove a Sagaris when they first came out and found it more planted than my Cerb. When I came to sell the Cerb, I took a test drive in a drop dead gorgeous Sagaris, but in comparison to the Noble it was 'an Old Dog'. Guess which one we ended up with?

Is that Nick's Christmas meal you are attending Joust? If so, see you there.

Yep - Joust will be at the Christmas bash Keith.

We'll have one up on the Aston owners though - if he gets too vocal & starts slagging off the Saggy at dinner, as hes there in the flesh rather than behind the safety of his keyboard we can kick the crap out of him on the night

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow, whatever your driving - one word of warning - there is a very high speed bump on the entrance to the pub car park. Saggys can just get over it (as tested by Yellow Peril) but you can park outside the farm shop on the night if you prefer.

Enjoy the car Justin

No. As it's a '55' car it's meant to have the choclate finger followers fixed. Clearly it hasn't.

Now, Joust, had it been below 6,000rpm at any point in the previous 5 hrs ;-)

As I was just driving it back home which is 30 and speedhumps all the way, it hardly got over 4000....

I have, and you are wrong. Ultimatly it's shagged it's engine after just over 5000 miles whilst being driven from central to south London in 30mph roads in a pretty lazy way as I was tired.

So J, was it a dealer or private purchase? Sorry to hear that your first TVR is a lemon - hopefully still under warranty. You going to buy another one? hehe
