Hi on some 2.5's that were done at the factory the floor wasn't cut, mine wasn't and it had all the upgrades done by the factory, I was curious about this before as I was told that if you had the track day sump the floor had to be cut, but quick call to the factory with my VIN number and all was made clear

Blimey. You've got good eyes. I can't even make out the tread on the photos let alone the pattern !
My 3 had a trackday sump retro fitted by the factory, it looks like they must have cut the cross brace and fitted a bolt in replacement section. I assumed this piece was actually how they are originally built but now it seems not (it seemed a sensible idea to me after looking with the pan off). The new section has welded extensions which slot over the existing cross brace which are then bolted through. Does look a tidy job tho..
