Fricking steering wheels............................

So after ordering the Sparco Pulsar (which Broad suggested) and waiting for 4 months to be told its discontinued, I ordered a sparco 310 which took a month to arrive and I didn't like. (flat top was not easy to use)

So I found the OMP Superquandro which is lovely in the hand and rejoyced as I placed my order for it.

Being another Italian company, it too took a month to arrive this morning and check out where the "CENTRE" line is!!!!!


Called the vedor back who has just gone to check 20 others that arrived this week and he tells me they are all as bad as each other and not one is in the middle!!


I think I might kill someone!!!

What happened to the one you purchased from GPR? That was nice, and wasn't even the right colour .

ETA: was supposed to say WAS even the right colour.

Greg, I laughed outloud when I read this (sorry).

How about
. keep the stock wheel
. get some yellow sticky tape
. wear some decent gloves on track (but not on the road unless you want to look a complete burke)
. buy us all a drink with the cash you've saved

It's for lining up Porsche Boxters before you blow past them like the wind.

Didn't like the sparco one's flat top, very odd to drive with.


The yellow line lets me know when I'm going straight. (very useful when on drugs)


I hate the plastic bits on the stock wheel. On the road, my sweaty hands slip all over it, and with driving gloves on its even worse!!! Suade on smooth plastic slips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could put your rubber ones on that you use at weekends?

I did try that but could not get the plastic bits to come off! I figured they were glued on?

Thats a nice wheel too Nathan. I'm not fussed about having the silly yellow band at all, its just that I liked the shape and feel of that wheel and is has a horn too.

I'm planning on making a centre piece like the oem wheel has and getting auto interiors to trim it for me.

Sorry for thread hijack, but Nathan, can you tell me more about your gauges? Those look like electronics dual gauges - what do you have being monitored? Is one of those for the gas? How difficult was the swap? I was looking to do the same. Thanks

Petrol was moved to the centre where the boost gauge was, the digital gauges (SPA) covered oil temp, pressure, water temp and boost pressure with peak readings recorded for each and alarms programable to user defined levels for each measurement.

Those SPA gauges are nice

I've put one of these in now
Monitors Water Temp, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, EGT, Fuel Pressure, RPM and Speed.
Has settable alarms for each. Quite a nifty bit of kit

If 'feel' and not going slippery is what you are after, you can't really beat the Richbrook one.



Their R2 looks nice, and you could replace the embossed Richbrook with a Noble logo.
