Difference between M12 2.5 and M12 GTO 3

Been looking at the Nobles.

Apart from a 3 litre rather than a 2.5 litre lump, whats the differenc between a 2.5 and 3?

I've had both (unmodified) - the 3.0 is definitely quicker although I think there's the odd modded 2.5 around that would maybe give some of the M400s a run for their money. Neither of them are what you would call slow!
