Slightly off-thread but saw a Europa at Goodwood on Sunday - nice!

What's the point of it. Radical is cheaper and faster????

As for the Europa, shocking build quality and hit with the ugly stick. Lotus have lost the plot lately IMHO.

I think the wheels are the Lotus Sport wheels previously used on the Exige 240R

Mmmm, I wonder just how comitted they really are to this kind of car.
Do I really need to mention the 340r ?
If I was going to buy this kind of car I'd go for a Juno or a radical.

Have to agree. That's mainly why I left my Lotus cap on the peg and went for Noble. If the new Esprit would have been ready sooner then I might have jumped back but not any more.

Agree about the build quality, but I thought the Europa looked quite nice when I saw it in the flesh. I wouldn't buy one though, I don't see the point of a "soft" Elise.

I still don't understand why Lotus don't produce a car with the performance of a Noble out-of-the box, as I'm sure they would be onto a winner. Instead it's left to owners to do engine transplants, bolt on blowers to get anywhere close.

The Exige GT3 S must be similar track performance and similar money?

I used ot love my Elise super 160 - but it nevercut the mustard when it came to out and out power

it was great fun on the summer days out - even the dog used to love a drive out

but the Noble was the car that i really wanted - i don't think it could be replaced without spending sqillinons

It's a Lotus "concept", and hence doomed in the same way the 250 et. all have been doomed.

They seem to be quite serious about this car though with even a whole section on their website:
www.grouplotus.com/car/car_product.php?id=2&mid=26

But come to think of it the same could be said of the binned M250.

I thought they needed to make it to homologate the GT3 they are planning on running in GT racing?

I agree with Nathan and think they are going to make it.

But at £50-60k its in Noble land and surely the upcoming M400/12 replacement (assuming there will be one) would be a better bet?

Horses for courses again I guess, but £60k for an Exige however good seems madness to me!
