Fan Switch

Once again my fans have stoped working it's that f*****g fan switch again.

This time I have had enough and I have wired in an overide switch.

Is there a more heavy duty fan switch?

If you are refering to the overide switch then there is no need it's a high current switch and I've use high current wiring.

I remember you saying before about a relay for the fan switch so when I get a replacement I'll do it.

Bondy - is it deffo the switch that is at fault? Maybe you're trying to cure a sympton rather than a cause if it keeps blowing?

Its the second one I've had since owning the car the last one has lasted 6 months. It maybe due to the fan upgrade drawing more current than it used to but every other Noble has this upgrade.

Maybe my fans draw a little bit more current than others and this is eventualy destroying the switch.

Might be talking loblocks here, but I have a vague recollection of hearing about fan switches being killed by the back emf generated if you kill the ignition with the fans still spinning. (Not specific to our cars mind).

Usual fix is a diode across the fan motor (stripey end to +ve, non-stripey end to -ve, I think).
