Help!!

Looking at fitting my new Lambda this weekend and have been doing some reading. I have read that you should disconnect the battery so that the ecu can reset (Adaptive mapping). Is this the case with the Noble?

Can my friend at the local garage access my OBD with his equipment or is it only approved Noble service stations. i.e. can he just plug in a piece of Ford software to clear the faults?

James,

Nobles are not OBD compliant. The only things that can reset stuff is the Dealer software or the OEM calibration software.

If you have an M400 then disconnecting the ECU will reset the adaptives. However, if you have a 3 or 3R, then you need to get to someone with a laptop and get the adaptives reset. If you come over here, I'll make sure you have the latest map too.

I will try and get to you at some point as it would be good to make sure I have the latest map, although I was told this was done by Vegantune by the previous owner.

So as mine is a GTO-3 shall I not bother disconnecting the battery when I change the Lambdas?
