Dear Mr Joust,
Discussion
I wonder if you would mind being a kind chap and doing the rest of the Noble fraternity a favour.
As you are in the gifted position of having a full compliment of Noble wheels in your possession (sans tyres), I wonder if you would mind taking your scales (the things in your bathroom under all the dirty clothes that you can weigh stuff on) out to the garage and weigh the GTO3 and 3R/M400 wheels for us.
It would be great to know what type of weight saving some of these wheel we're looking at actually give us.
As Dr. Cundy says, weight saving on unsprung weight gives the biggest and most noticable results over nearly any other modification.
You could post results here. (and maybe AcTech would pop them up on the wheels page of GTO3.com)

Many thanks Mr Fielder,
Yours sincerely,

500grammes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is that really worth the extra $$$$$$ and the brittleness of them??
I would have thought the kevlar ones would be miles lighter.

Yeah I was quite surprised at this, but magnesium ain't that heavy, so the difference isn't going to be that great by the time they've laid up enough carbon to make the rim strong enough. But compared to nearly 13kg for the standard wheels the standard Dymags come out pretty well (if you like the look of them)

The carbon (there is NO kevlar in them) rims will deform and spring back to original shape at a given force where the mags will deform and stay there.
There is more chance of a deflated tyre with a mag wheel than with a carbon given the same impact (according to those in the know).

Thanks Craig.
28lbs = 12.7kg
30lbs = 13.6kg
So for a full set of wheels it's 52.6kg for standard Noble vs 31 kg Dymag carbon/mags or 33 standard mags
