Guys, thanks for all your best wishes.
I had a good day without any mishaps and had a very enjoyable race just being pipped for 5th overall by a couple of tenths after swapping places and dicing with a Sunbeam Lotus for many laps. Excellent fun.
Congrats to Steve Taylor (kinetic) for his 3rd overall and wining class B. Mal Davison in another Noble took 4th overall and 2nd in class A.
ps. Details on the race series is here:- www.lmaeurosaloons.co.uk/e_races/e_races.html

Thanks Richard. Some very close racing. Graham has some good in-car footage that I'm sure he'll post.
Richard was actually a lot quicker than his finishing position suggested. The problem was the sheer size of the grid with 35 cars & getting some space to set a decent quali time was a bit of a lottery!

Richard...are you planning on raising the wing as well?
Martin.
Martin.
Possibly, if I can fit it into a testing/trackday schedule.
Things that I can test are different wing angles, heights of wing and addition of a gurney flap so that I can find out what it does to downforce and drag.
Add in Paul's fastback development that'll smooth the airflow over the back, producing less drag and more IC cooling and you've got another set of parameters to consider. You might like this development as when Paul's finished it'll also look very nice. Paul's only going to release details when it's good enough though.
All in all I'll have to come up with a simple test stategy but it'll be a fair bit of work.

The new clutch is fine. It's a bit more "digital" than normal which could make it "interesting" in traffic but with practice it's probably bearable. On track this doesn't matter.
Also the new gearbox feels good. I had an issue with the gear selector not springing back to the centre position but Plans just adjusted the linkage and it's fine. I didn't miss a gear during qualifying or the race so that proves it's actually better than before. The actual engagement now feels "smoother".
