Not another write off because the repairer put in a ridiculus quote or they just couldn't get the bits in a senseble lead time.

These guys are theives, how can they justify a £10k price tag on a secondhand engine that they won't guarantee. What a rip off. Wheels at 225+vat for secondhand ones, they were £280+vat brand spanking new never used last time I called the factory (3 months ago). Too much of a specialist car for these guys, they really don't know how to price the parts - don't have a clue.

yes They don't seem to have grasped that you can buy a whole and working car for £20k-ish !
never mind, the price will soon come down when nobody buys it !

I read on a US review of the M12 that they broke an engine by not filling it with oil properly, but that it was OK because "it only costs $5,200". Today that's about £2,600 (seems a bit cheap) - what do you think you'd really have to pay for a brand new one?

Noble Motorsport will build you a brand new M400 spec engine for less than the used Ebay one.

So why not state on a public furum your warranty conditions? Assuming of course, they are conditions you are proud of......

I'm more than happy to do the same with my Toyota engines, and i do often.

That sounds cheap, but suppose once someone has swapped the motors etc over the true cost gets high

Even so, that's still pretty reasonable considering shipped from US.
