LSD AND 6 SPEED GEARBOX?
Discussion
hi Chaps, Hopefully gonna be a noble owner soon (3 Litre M12) and just wondered if the opportunity came along to put in a LSD or a 6-speed box, are these standard mondeo st220 items which i could source off a scrap car for eg or would this be a very expensive factory only purchase? And does full engine need to be removed to fit them? Also is the "Track day sump" a dry sump or a modified/baffled mondeo item? Just a couple of things i have pondered over and would appreciate your feedback on. Cheers - Gary.

A Noble is not a Ford mondeo with a plastic body you know.

Just to clarify further--the track day sump is not a dry sump but is baffled and modified to about double the capacity of the stock unit. And although there are many Noble custom items, there are also quite a few parts from Ford and other main-stream manufacturers that help keep replacement costs down.

Don't bother with the LSD unless the open diff fails as the engine has to come out. At this point you could think about the 6spd but again it is expensive. Plans did tell me that you don't need a new tank as they can modify it (I think with a hammer).
