How can I tell if I'm dumping OK?

Can anyone tell me how to check whether both turbo dump valves are operating correctly - the first one goes OK, and I may be imagining it, but cannot hear the second one dump as it used to?

I may be confusing the issue - I mean the two air filters that are behind the driver on early M12's and further back on later one's - that make the whooshing sound?!

you're confusing your wastegates with your dump valve mate
They might be sticking, I should get them looked at

Do you wipe your wastegate properly after useage?

If either wastegate is stuck open / closed you will get low / high boost pressure.
