Anyone used Motorpoint?
Discussion
Sorry for the off topic, and I hope I'm allowed to ask this!
I'm thinking of getting a Golf GTi DSG 5dr for work and the spec I chose at the dealer came in at about 25k.
www.motorpoint.co.uk have bought a job lot off VW (as they do with all their cars) and they have some with low spec and a 2 year VW warranty at 20k and others with high spec and no warranty at 19k.
Thats a damn good saving and if you add on their own 2 year warranty at £599 you're gett9ing a blinking good saving!
Have any of you had any experience of these types of buys?
Any advice?
Greg

Yep,
bought a Vectra estate tow car off them when I had the Westfield. They are only about 2 miles away, and were pretty good. High volume low margin means you get a pretty good deal. Most things tend to be pre-registered and they try and sell you breakdown cover and charge for their own number plates, even on second hand cars with plates on. On the whole they are OK.

Fed up with your black X5 with Angel eyes then?
If you are, why are you selling?
If you are, why are you selling?
Yea, its a great car and I love it, but its not getting a good reaction from the retailers that I sell furniture from. Some of those with small mentalities think that if my car is better then theirs, then I'm being paid too much and so on....
Bit annoying, but I tend to agree and as I need to be everyones best friend at work I have decided that selling it and getting a Gti DSG that will be great fun to thrash about in all day and will put £13k back in my pocket is a good idea.
Plus, with the new X5 about to dawn, I realised it was not the best time to spend 33 grand on a 2nd hand one!
