I know I'm only pulling 260BHP at the mo but I was not happy that a Celica GT4 stayed with me (possibly closed the gap a bit) from about 40-80.

However he didn't hit the corners as hard as I did so I did lose him.

Bring on the new ECU and a possible 340BHP (although I'm not sure that would have helped much?)

I'm still running original ECU and it needs a remap. Boost is low also 0.6bar tops.

I've got a new ECU going in soon so I think the car will be transformed and wont run soooo rich.

The engine in my MR2 turbo is the same one that was fitted in one of the GT4's and it runs 250 BHP in standard form (though I think it has a charge cooler rather than an intercooler). Without spending hardly any money you can safely take them to close to 300 BHP. My Brother's MR2 turbo when running well, will leave my GTO3 in a straight line but his has been modded.
It's times like that I think about getting an M400.
Rob.

Yeah I no what you mean. As i said with (fingers crossed) 340bhp it should be a lot better more like a 3R (As in std form they tend to be about 320-330.

An intercooler is just another name for a chargecooler.

What you may be refering to is an air to air intercooler as opposed to a water to air intercooler.

Thanks for the clarification, I did mean to differentiate beween the water to air and air to air.

I think most manufactures call them an intercooler ( water/air or air/air ) but Lotus call them a Chargecooler ( for some odd reason ).

Audi have called it a charge cooler since the Ur Quattro.
