Chop the TVR and go for the Noble....

OK this is it. Having driven the M12 3R today at Dove House it looks like time to chop the TVR Tamora and go for the Noble. The drive was awesome. I have owned some nice cars in my time (Alpina B10V8, R34 Skyline, EVO6, 3200 Asseto Corsa) and I have to say that this brought back the smiles.

Does anyone have a view on Dove House as a company? I am also going to drive the M400 in order to really temp myself. What is the view on those who have owned the 3R and the M400? Is the extra cash worth it?

All help appreciated.

Yes.
If you do mostly B-road driving the 3R is undoubtable the smoother beast -suspension is sublime over rough and ragged tarmac.
A-Roads/Mways and race-tracks - M400 every time. The M400 will be quicker on the B-roads but there is always that sense you're going to be thrown into the hedge on the really knarly bits.

Another option is to use some of the money saved by getting the 3R and having some sensible mods that will give you more power than a standard "400"
Also fitting Nitrons and R compond tyres will greatly improve handling.
Several well respected places to buy from including Roush, Noblemods or JNM.

Whatever, get the geometry sorted properly ( I had the uprights machined for camber adjustment)and you will be guaranteed a Grin from ear to ear

Might be worth doing a search. There was a guy on here after one from Dove and was only waiting for an inspection to be done by Crazy Horses Gary. The car is still for sale so maybe the check threw something up?

Adam.. It was me. I bought my 3r from dove house. Gary from Crazy horses came to look at it and found some minor items needing attention. Dove house fixed most of them , and there are a couple of things for Mole valley to do , which Dove house are covering. I'll cost you around 300 quid for the inspection from CHR.

Thanks. I have searched the forum on Dove House and all in all look like a good company to deal with. Once I have decided 3r v 400 then this sounds like £300 well spent. Thanks for the advice.

What has been your experience on reliability? I appreciate that the Noble like the Tam is a handmade car and as a result we tolerate niggles… What however is hard is that with the Tam (24k on the clock) you know that at some time something will go pop and out will come the engine… then its £5k of hard cash to sort.
