Early Morning Mapping
Discussion
It’s 1:15am and as I write this I am having the car (2.5) mapped. The base line we started with was 285bhp. New maps were loaded and the first run took it to 303bhp. The boost controller was then connected and it made 320bhp. Trevor is still tinkering with it but it all looks good so far.
The boost control problem I had was because the car had a 'mechanical' map loaded which didn’t restrict the boost pressure and caused bad over boosting. The new map takes it to 0.9bar I think.
Just done another run at 330bhp – that’s a 45bhp increase from where we started from. Needless to say I am quite a happy chap
Will post scans of the plots as soon as poss.

Looking forward to the drive home – and bed

F.C.
Thanks, guys. Always nice to receive positive comments back. Yes, this week has been even more stupid workwise than I thought possible, but mapping Nobles is fun, and I have a good laugh with Steve down there....
Madmacmcmad noticed the changes to his car too. Shame he didn't have the 6-speed otherwise we could have left the much higher...

Think I need to remove my passenger seat, stereo, wipers, lights and spend more time at the gym. I can't have Humpys 2.5 embarassing my 3R....
You jest mate, but a few quid spent on lightening will make one hell of a difference !

Go 2.5's !
it's a better engine anyway.....
