My baby is due on the 16th (gonna miss Le mans frown )

i have harnesses - is it possible to strap a passenger in and strap the baby to them ?

has anyone had a baby seat in a Noble ?

Mike, call me a lentel-munching paranoid munter (go on!) but I wouldn't put a baby in a Noble - apart from no side protection, I fear the vibration and heat may cause all sorts of output and distress! Although, I suppose you could let him/her drive smile

Re the lap harness (eg: baby air-bag!) - I think that's illegal in the UK.

ps - good luck for the 16th - my birthday too!

you "lentel-munching paranoid munter" well you did ask me to !!

yes - you are probably right and i might feel a lot more protective about it when it arrives

the missus is worred the baby's neck won't be able to take the G-forces

more importantly - where will i store the pram !

(out of interest - has anybody been seriously injured in a crah in a Noble)

Definatley not a car for a baby -- noisy, and too much "G" .. Most child seats are too wide for the buckets. Certainly wouldn't take my 15 month old in one.

You will need somewhere to put the pram/buggy once "its" a few months old as despite typical male machismo they do get heavy after 30 mins of walking around with them in a harness or in the arms ;-)

Gadge,
Both of my kids were introduced to the Noble from birth and it is a perfectly capable and suitable car for the job providing you don't drive it like you just stole it especially with a new born in. Which I hope would go without saying!

All the child seats we've had fitted without a problem, we currently have a Britax and a Recaro.

Hope this helps
Anthony.

cheers Anthony

i'm new to this baby thing - i like the idea of involving my kids in what I love

did you have the seats fitted so they were forwards or backwards facing

does it matter ?

I haven't tried backwards facing (which you would need with a newborn), but I have tried forward. The Britax models do fit fine, and are held very securely in the seat.

Why is your wing mirror Blue and the rest of the car Black?....or is it just because of the flash on the camera?

It's just a bad camera (or, more likely, a bad photographer). The mirror is actually anthracite.

Hi Mike

Carried my kids (singly) in the noble from 2 years old. You've met them and I think any deficiencies are due to my genetics rather than the g forces involved.

In the mean time use the Noble as your one and only chance for peace! Honestly it's more refreshing to sleep for a night in those seats than it's going to be sleeping in "your" bed when beloved and baby are going full chat!

cheers for the advice - love the comment about genetics

I have just had a thought - if the baby is born on the due date (Le Mans), then i have an excuse to go there for a party every year !
