Looks like a lot of fun there. Some quick cars!

Hope the car is ok after hitting those posts (even if they do give...).

Great footage, that sure looks like a lot of fun. thumbup

How does it compare doing a 1hour endurance race to the shorter 20-30 minute races? Was there any need to re-fuel, as the tank would be nearing empty after an hour racing surely? And whats happened to Chilidog and his car at the minute? haven't heard much about his or the car recently.

Hi Mike

My car is currently waiting to be mended after crashing at Cadwell Park last month. Paul kindly offered the 2nd driver place in his car for the 1 hour endurance race.

Nice vid and nice driving!

Hope there was not too much damage to the car, not that you would notice another scratch. rolleyessmile

Paul, just for us non-racers,what does it feel like when you're accelerating as fast as the car will go and then Richard Chamberlin in that orange beast just blows you(and everyone else) away along the Senna straight?

We were trying to work out just how much power he was running, then he got a puncture.

Well for things like that Porsche you don't feel anythingbecause he's on a race of his own. The two cars just don't compare. For the other cars you are scrapping with (like the Mustang) it feels bloody frustrating, no matter how hard you you stamp on the pedal there's nothing you can do, you just pray for fluffed gearchange and hope that you're not too far behind for the braking, you can usually make up a lot of ground on the brakes and around the corners.

There's still some way to go in the piloting department; that blue lotus should on paper have been dust in my mirrors drivers being equal so we'll be back for more later on in the year.

As for the endurance race the car was doing just under a litre of fuel a minute and as I have a scavenge system we could just about have made it on one tank. As everycar had to have a mandatory 4 minute stop we took the opportunity to put in 20 litres as a safety margin.

Paul C

Well here are a few shots - I'm not very pleased with them but there you go:

The track is dry - tyre change quick!

That porsche was really fast:

...Until he got a pucture:

... and you really didn't want to get too close to this one:

Paul,

Was that still with your old engine or have you a new one in yet. Also was you using your cgarge cooler and did you get any heat soak?

Before to long your front end is going to be duct tape
