Bcensoredr me second outing(total 50 miles covered) after a "service" and things are dropping off!!
Just tootling along A413 moderate boot down and pssssssssst! bloomin front turbo hose blows off, no hose clip to be seen anywhere. I reckon they may have loosened that pipe to facilitate changing the alternator belt.
So now wondering what else may have been missed!
Found an air filter has split around the hose mounting (I was charged £24.00 for the privilege of having an "air filter service kit" whatever that is)?
Does anyone know the K&N part No?
Also noticed a clonking sound from left rear on hard right hand turns at speed, any ideas?
I just had the hub nuts replaced at the service.
So I don't think it’s from the hub.
I'm going to do my own servicing from now on. Sod the bloody official Noble stamp in the book It's not worth a WcensoredK and for £1600 I think I might just have saved myself a good £1300.

Have you brought this to the atention of the "Service" centre? Be interesting to hear what they say. Check your hub nuts before you take it out again though, may not have been tightened to the correct torque!!

Sounds similar to my recent experience with a well documented "noble specialist" 12k service, fitting only of new exhaust, brake cooling mod and a few niggles fixed........................wait for it..................£3500!!!

Igot my butt spanked royally! I had to fax the bill to my real dealer recently for some warranty work to be paid for and they laughed their heads off at me frown Said they would have been close to a grand cheaper!

You learns your lessons..........whistle

Hi Guys,

I serviced my 3 when I bought it last November (24k service) and was pretty shocked at the general lack of previous care (service items) during the job. All the brakes were sticking, handbrake shoes worn out, air filters black etc,etc and only 3000 miles after the last Noble dealer service. Also was quoted around a grand for the 24k service (just to keep a Noble stamp).
The car has undergone a full ground up refurb over the last winter and now is tiptop, I'm only grateful I'm a vehicle technician and can do the work myself. The car is very basic really, I'm shocked at some of the bills I have for my car from the dealers for what is pretty straight forward work.

Watch it Dave, you might have me knocking on your door for a service!!

I've got to say I have always done my own servicing on my previous cars but changed with the Noble for the stamp.

Well is there anything difficult about servicing a Noble? I'm racking my brains to think of anything out of the ordinary but have come to a full stop. No specialist tools or equipment either.

I have to agree, yes I have the 1G Racing M400 build manual and so long as you have access and can use a torque wrench there's not much to frighten anyone who has a reasonable amount of mechanical knowledge and sympathy.
I just got myself a set of jacking ramps and I'm going to take the underside panels off and clean and grease everything in sight, then I'm going to get a 3.0 V6 lump and build a half decent up-grade engine for sensible money.
When my engine feels like its tired enough I'll swap it out and get the gearbox strengthened and re-built.

Not if you've had 5 days training from the factory biggrin

You can clearly service it yourself, but now that Nobles are in the 20-45k bracket, and there is a healthy churn in the market, come resale time are you confident that that new owner won't be put off by no approved stamp, and you'll have to knock thousands off the price to shift it?

Of course if it's a "keeper" then it doesn't matter.

What's the point if an approved serice centre can't be bothered to do the job properly? Or are you suggesting I pay £1600 for a stamp and then have to check out the "service" work for myself?
