Fisrt day of nice weather and the old girl decides to play up .
Tried to start the car and just got a rapid clicking which sounded like the starter motor may be stuck . Put it in gear and rocked it thinking that may unstick it.
Now nothing . Battery ok so it isn't that
Lots of beeping from the imobiliser and don't even get ignition lights on now . Have tried the little gray widget on the imobiliser and that doesn't seem to make any difference.

Any ideas?

Update
Imobilised now happy again and back to rapid clicking when i try snd start it . battery is ok as i have a thing in the car that checks battery condition and it says its fine .
Think it must be the starter motor or soloniod . Is it time for a big hammer ?

Get some volts into her and the have another go. Clicking can often be a low battery with not quite enough juice to do the job.

It does sound like its stuck in. If you can get a piece of wire, go from the starter to the batterys positive terminal. If it still doesnt fire you know its the starter

A clicking is the soleniod trying to engage. As it starts to turn the engine you get a big current pull and if the battery is on teh way out it can't supply the amps so the soleniod disengages again, and so on.

My old battery on the Nob had some kind of indicator thing on it that was a green colour saying all was well... fat lot of use that was !!

It livesbounce

It looks like it was the battery , so much for my battery guage thingy . Enough juice left to make the clicking noise but not enough to provide the umph to turn it over . thanks for your help
