As above, anyone know of any nice eating places and/or hotels in the area?
Try www.spahotel.co.uk The place is not cheap but the food's fine. Rooms are ok too.My preferences are Thackaray's for food (not sure of spelling) and Hotel du vin and Bistro for food/accommodation, but why not head out to the George (and dragon?) in Speldhurst for a fantastic old pub atmosphere with some of the best food in the vicinity.
Spa Hotel (as recommended above) is also good.

Booked the George and Dragon, and have reserved a table in the Buttery which reading online is a bit more quiet/romantic. Thanks for the tip and i will post how good (or not) it was
Edited to say the food at the George was fantastic and very reasonable i thought. would love to go back, especially with the same company
