I'm quite happy with having no external aerial, so anyone tried DAB with the screen mounted aerial?

Yes, I've got one in the M400 and it's s**t.

DAB and cars just aren't worth it IMHO. The coverage just isn't enough to keep on DAB for even something like Radio 1.

Have to agree that its dire. Great if your staying local in town. My unit just keeps switching to and from DAB and its annoying to say the least.

Has anyone actually come up with a solution for reception yet?

Drove to Kent the other day and the only radio progs I could get all the way there and back were radio 3 and 4. :suicide:

Its so annoying esp. when you've left all the cd's at home!

Surely its not rocket science to get a decent signal? Is it cause the body is plastic and not metal?

Trouble is, its a plastic car, the reception drives me nuts, you can't get the Ford ariel off without doing damage and an amplifier does'nt work. I've been to a few car hifi shops and no one so far can come up with a good solution.

Love someone to come up with an answer that works.

Mine works fine. Only problem is an antenna needs to be "erect" and the roof unit faces forwards (I meant backwards!)
