looking to jack up my noble cant seem to find any obvious jacking up points ANY ADVICE ???

Back: in the centre at the back, just as the rear diffuser stops and the floor pan starts, in line with the towing eye.

Front: In line with the towing eye once again, but just behind it, you can see where the towing eye attached to the chassis through the mesh at the front, jack it up from there.

Thats not where I jack it up. I thought it was on the rivet line, about 6 inches in under the sill.

I think you can do that too. Depends what parts you want to get to, or what wheels you want to take off I guess.

FYI, it's easy to identify these jacking points by looking for the intersections of the lines of screws/rivets that hold the aluminum panels onto the chassis. Also note that either rear jacking point can be used to lift the whole side of the car (both front and rear wheels off the ground).

The chassis is very stiff, and 60% of the weight is in the rear, so, although there might be an extremely small elastic chassis deflection due to jacking at a rear point, there is no way you can permanently deform the chassis using that single point lift. And remember the total weight of the car is still supported at 3 points when it's raised from a rear jacking point. If you could permanently bend the chassis that easily, we would all be in serious trouble eek.

How? Jacking up so both wheels are off the ground is no different to jacking it up so just the rear is off the ground from a torsional twist basis.

The moment you've unloaded the suspension you've got maximum twist. I'd also really worry about driving over a pothole if jacking up on a point twisted the chassis!

IIRC Simon posted that the torsional stiffness was similar to an Elise which is significant.

How? Jacking up so both wheels are off the ground is no different to jacking it up so just the rear is off the ground from a torsional twist basis.

The moment you've unloaded the suspension you've got maximum twist. I'd also really worry about driving over a pothole if jacking up on a point twisted the chassis!

Am I thinking of a situation when you jack a wheel up and the other wheel (on the same side) is off the ground as well - could that introduce a twisting effect as the chassis is unpropped at the other end? scratchchin

It is fine to jack up in front of the rear wheel and lift the whole side of the car.

Nope. As soon as the other wheels suspension is unloaded, but the wheel is still on the ground, the same effect happens. The only difference between the wheel on the ground and off the ground is the weight of the wheel itself.

IIRC the torsional stiffness of the M12 is around 14000kgs/degree (although that could be wrong) - i.e. at maximum twist, supporting half the car, you would expect 1/28th of a degree of flex.
