Hi everyone,
I have taken the rear floor off the Noble and have started to strip and re paint (POR-15) all the chassis rails. Whilst doing this I'm also wrapping the exhaust.
I have taken the rear CAT off so I could get at the middle bars joining the bottom and top of the chassis. Unfortunately the last bolt (Always the last one) was a pain to remove and so I'd like to change it. Does anyone know where the best place is to get one?
This is fast becoming one of those jobs that you wish you haven't started, but I am so glad I am doing it. I freshened the very rear section up at the beginning of the year but didn't remove the rear floor pan. This time I have stripped the lot. They're not that bad. However, the three bars that run from the floor to the top of the chassis were showing signs of bad rusting as was the bar under the exhaust pipe from the front turbo.
I suppose it's the extreme heat they are subjected to from the turbo and CAT. The paint under the factory heat sheilding had just baked and flaked off
Anyway, I've got all the bits I need to treat and re-paint from FROST Restorations.
Hoping to get it done within a couple of weeks and can't wait to drive it again!!
