is it actually worth removing the cats and if so where does one find cat replacement pipes?

Nope, sounds good with the cats on and doesn't make enough difference in power to warrent leaving them off. IMHO

If you get a Roush exhaust they supply a set of cat replacement pipes with it.

For afterburners, Noblemods is the place to go, Graham worked hard on designing them and they are perfect.

Roush do indeed suppy the CAT bypass pipes.

Go for both.

I've a set of Roush decat pipes that have never been used. Think I paid about £120 each for them, if you want them, make me an offer biggrin

Sorry I've just rang him and asked - he binned them ages ago (to be fair it's over a year ago I had the exhausted fitted) - so it looks like you'll have to pay for a pair. tbh - as previous ppl have said you will get very little extras out of having no Kats. My 3L car was running 392 odd bhp and 400lbs/ft with a Rousch pipe and a few teeks the kat replacement pipes made about about 2-3bhp difference i'm told.

They are ceramic coated, hence the cost. No problems if you don't want them.
